The Shelter Island Lions Club normally meets at 6:00 p.m. for dinner on the third Thursday of every month, except July and August. Details to be published below, as soon as they’re announced. 

Meetings of the officers and directors (Board meetings) are held on the second Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. in the Shelter Island School Board Room.  All members are welcome to attend Board meetings.

• September Dinner Meeting: Thursday, September 17, 2026, 6:00 pm, Shelter Island Yacht Club.  $50 pp.
  Menu: Mixed Green Salad, Chicken Paillard, Chocolate Mousse.. Go to September 2026 Dinner Meeting to sign up.  By Friday 9/11 please.
  
  
• Fall Roadside & Beach Cleanup:  Saturday, September 26, 2026.  (9:30 am to noon.  Meet at Center Firehouse.  Gloves, hi-vis vests, pickers  and trash bags will be provided. Walk your neighborhood or favorite beach, pick up trash and bring it to a dumpster at the Firehouse.  Donuts and coffee to be provided.  
  
  
• October Board Meeting:  Thursday, October 8, 2026, 5:00 pm, School Conference Room.
  
  
• Community Prime Rib Dinner:  Sunday, October 11, 2026, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Heights Firehouse. $50 pp adults. $25 pp under 12. Proceeds to support 7th & 8th grade student trip to EPCOT.

  Menu: Tossed Salad, Dinner Rolls, Prime Rib, Baked Potato, Fresh Vegetables, Cherry Cheese Cake, Soft Drinks, Coffee.
