The Shelter Island Lions Club is organizing teams of Lions and community volunteers to pick up roadside litter on Saturday, April 29th, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, on eleven sections of the Island. You may then select the particular section that you’d like to help clean up.
This will be our sixth annual Island-wide Roadside Cleanup day and it is always a fun event for the Club & the community — so plan to come out and enjoy the weather, get a bit of exercise, and share stories about how you coped during the winter & cold early spring!
Please plan to meet at the Center Firehouse at 9:30. There will be coffee, bagels and donuts prior to our heading out. Following the clean up we invite everyone to return to the firehouse for a community BBQ reception.
