Urgent !! The Shelter Island Bucks are still in need of Host Families to house players! If you have a spare bedroom and are interested in hosting a player, here are some details:
- Players arrive early June and stay until the first week in August. They will play baseball 5 or 6 days a week on the South and North Forks and will workout daily at local gyms. Players are encouraged to work part time jobs and participate in their local community.
- Each player is a member in good-standing with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), meeting all academic, athletic and legal eligibility requirements.
- Host families are required to supply a player with a room, bed, laundry and meals. They are not required to provide transportation. If you want to be a Bucks Host Family or have additional questions, please contact David Gurney at 631-433-1502 or Jon Kilb at 716-310-3281
